Limestone Community High School Families,
As we enter the holiday season, a time often filled with celebration, we also recognize it can bring challenges for many of our students and families. This year, the hardships may feel especially significant in light of the recent layoffs at Liberty Steel, which have affected many members of our community.
At Limestone Community High School, we are committed to supporting our students and families through times of difficulty. As a school community, we are here to help in the following ways:
Free and Reduced Meals Programs: Families facing financial challenges are encouraged to contact the Business Office regarding these programs to ensure students have access to nutritious meals.
“Moms Who Care” Program: This valuable community resource, located at LCHS, provides essential items for students, including clothing, personal hygiene products, and perishable/non-perishable food items.
Student Services Office: Our counselors and social workers are available to provide emotional and practical support for students navigating personal or academic challenges.
Community Resource Lists: We maintain updated contact lists of available support resources throughout Peoria County to connect families with the help they need.
At LCHS, we truly believe we are all part of one family. Our goal is to lift one another up and provide as much assistance as possible during difficult times. If your family is in need of support, or if you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to either the LCHS Business Office or the Student Services Office.
Thank you for allowing us to be part of your family’s journey. Together, we can ensure that every member of our community feels cared for and supported this holiday season.
