Mrs. Minter's Forensics I students were able to visit the Peoria County Coroner's Office recently to learn about the jobs that can be held there as well as the daily functions of the city. Students were able to talk to Coroner Jamie Harwood & Chief Deputy Ben Brewer.

Thanks to the LCHS Student Council who organized canned food drives, secured and collected donations, and raised money to help feed 110 families in the Limestone community. This is an annual team effort with our grade schools and the Love like Lija Foundation. Shout out to Tara Stout and Stacey Seals (student council sponsors) and to all of the greater Limestone schools, students, and families who supported this effort!

On behalf of the faculty, staff, and students at LCHS, Thank you to all who served and are currently serving! We appreciate your service and sacrifice to our country. We will take time today (11/10/2023) with our students to pause and honor all Veterans.
A special choir performance tonight in the LCHS Auditorium as 180, 5th-12th grade, students from all of the Limestone Area schools took the stage to showcase their talents! A special thanks to guest clinician Mr. John Musick who worked with the students throughout the day today and to LCHS Choir Director Spencer Rockford who coordinated the event.
At the Morton Chess Invitational, LCHS varsity team took home the 2nd place trophy and went 3-1 while beating Hartem, East Peoria, and Richwoods before falling just 1 board short of a win against Franklin in the final round!
We are the champions! Congratulations IHSEA Mario Kart 8 state team Andrew Parsons, Cole Matye, Jackson Still, and Kristian Ritterbusch! Shout out to Caspian Adams for tech support, streaming, coaching, and all around leadership today!
