🌮Health students had some Food Truck fun this week! This project helped them apply knowledge from their nutrition unit in a practical way. They designed a food truck with a catchy name, slogan and logo and had the option to bring in 1 item from their menu to share with the class.
They used information from food labels and ingredient lists to make decisions about food choices, portion sizes and reflected on the choose my plate model. Fun way to end the week!

You are invited!!! The LCHS Winter Guard's Family & Community Performance is on March 28 from 6-7pm in the Main Gym. This will be a send off to championships as we leave the next day for Tinley Park Circuit Championships. It would be great to see the support of Limestone faculty and friends as well as the team's families. I have attached the flyer that also contains a QR code that you can send a good luck note to the team. I will go through some of these during this evening's performance. Coach Scholl is so proud of this team! She says they have come such a long way from the beginning. It's great to see the improvements that carry over into the fall marching season. Hope this program keeps building as we progress and keep getting better! Hope to see you there!

Chemistry students researched their molecular modeling project in the library.

Congratulations to Limestone Moms Who Care, who are the recipients of the Office of the Governor Illinois Commission on Volunteerism and Community Service Certificate of Appreciation. This award is one of the highest honors an Illinois resident can receive regarding volunteerism and service in Illinois. It bears the immortal words of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., “Everyone can be great because everyone can serve”. The Moms Who Care will receive their certificate at a ceremony in April. Thank you, Moms Who Care, for your continuous service to our students and their families! #rocksolid
