Your Rocket Daily Recap

Attention Rockets:
LCHS College & Career Day is tomorrow! You will have the opportunity to explore interests through break-out sessions, visit the college/career fair, focus on wellbeing, and plan for life after high school. We are excited for tomorrow and welcome two guest speakers to LCHS!
Here is a little bit about our guest speakers for tomorrow:
Brittany Richmond is an award winning teen mental health speaker with over a decade of experience, passionately dedicated to ending the stigma surrounding mental health. As one of the few active women in the youth speaking market, Brittany has delivered her empowering message, "Become an Overcomer," at prestigious youth leadership events nationwide. Recently, she was honored with the 2024 Voice for Positive Change Award from The Illinois Association for Behavioral Health and her debut book, Lies My Anxiety Has Told Me, became a bestseller. Known for her interactive and relatable keynotes, she helps students navigate communication, support, and self-talk challenges.
Demarcus "Marc Supreme" Hamilton is a journalist and media practitioner who produces content and events ranging from pop culture to politics and education. His latest book speaks to high school and college students attempting to navigate their post secondary options, while learning to leverage the opportunities education offers. It's currently being taught as a curriculum in high schools and also has been picked up by several community programs and non-profits as learning materials for students. The literary mixtape is also the foundation of the DIGIM College Fair. This event reimagines the college browsing experience, immersing it in arts, culture & professional engagement with industry experts from around the country.

You are invited!!! The LCHS Winter Guard's Family & Community Performance is on March 28 from 6-7pm in the Main Gym. This will be a send off to championships as we leave the next day for Tinley Park Circuit Championships. It would be great to see the support of Limestone faculty and friends as well as the team's families. I have attached the flyer that also contains a QR code that you can send a good luck note to the team. I will go through some of these during this evening's performance.
Coach Scholl is so proud of this team! She says they have come such a long way from the beginning. It's great to see the improvements that carry over into the fall marching season. Hope this program keeps building as we progress and keep getting better! Hope to see you there!
